Everyone enjoyed the ambiance, the steaks cooked perfectly & drinks were very good, the crab cake and also the mushrooms were exceptional, the mashed potatoes ok (just a bit over whipped). The giant meatball appetizer was ok, but meat needed a bit more seasoning. Overall a great night with solid service.

This place is definitely worth driving through the CHI traffic. It's absolutely beautifully designed with two separate areas. The downstairs dining is more casual & lounge like. The decor is airy & inviting with basket sconces & lamps. There's also lots of greenery. The lighting is an amber hue that immediately relaxes. We ate upstairs which a more fine dining experience. We were greeted by both the hostess and the manager. We were stayed at a very large round booth. It was quite comfortable for 8 people. We were all offered a complimentary ( except my underage granddaughter), tasting cocktail. Our waiter was Brenden. He was polite, efficient and friendly. We ordered the burrata, and steak tartare, for appetizers. Both the presentation and taste were exceptional. I ordered Branzino, others in my party got the fillet, kale salad, & pasta stuffed with short rib. We also got all the sides. The food here is excellent. Everything we had was fresh & full of flavor! This is the place for any special occasion or a date night. It won't disappoint.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We lucked out and got last minute reservations on a Friday night. We were instructed to go upstairs which felt much classier than the downstairs area. At 6pm, we were one of the first couples seated but as the evening continued the placed became more and more busy. Service was second to none. The team of waitstaff was very professional, insightful, and friendly. They made sure everything about our experience was perfect. As for the food and drinks, it was definitely expensive but worth every penny. As we started browsing the menu we received complimentary shots. I also ordered the by the port. I'm very picky with my drinks but it was made perfectly. We received complimentary foccocia bread which was also heavenly. We started with the crab cake which was very flavorful. You can definitely tell it's made with high quality products and they do not skimp on the crab. It was a perfect starter without filling us up too much. We also ordered the porterhouse with sautéed foie gras and au poivre. It was a much bigger portion than I expected. Easily enough for 3 people and tasted spectacular. We had high hopes to try the risotto and dessert but we were so full after the steak so we finished the meal with an expresso.

Nisos Prime is another great addition to the West Loop. Great for a group, a date, or a night out with friends. The Ambiance is beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful in making recommendations for food. The CALABRIAN KING CRAB MERUS and the Grilles Octopus were my favorite. The quality of the food is great for the price. I would definitely return. They have an upbeat playlist that will certainly make you dance while consuming the delicious food. The chef certainly knows what she is doing.

Came here first time on Friday night with my friend I've known for over ten years. The buck oysters are unbelievable and the pros fruit to crusting was savoury sweet and crunchy .... Happy hour is 8 dollars less than the regular food menu. We had 16 oysters in total( I probably had one too many haha. ) we also had steak tartare! ( well marinated and just the right texture).the octopus main course was probably one of the best octopus I've had. (It melts in your mouth like butter and soft Gruyère cheese) We also had two cocktails each, Negroni and Paloma spritzer for me ( with tequila(, and two of the chefs dealers for my friend) The ambiance service good lighting was all I pre able and the place was Jam packed on a Friday night!

Nisos Prime has risen like the Phoenix from the ashes of what use to be Nisos Mediterranean. Nisos Mediterranean was another Restaurant Week discovery back in Jan 2023 (see my review). I had an amazing time there and they received that rare five star review from me. Then they closed for whatever reason. Out of the ashes arose a worthy successor, Nisos Prime. This was another Restaurant Week visit, almost a year to the date (Jan 21, 2024) from Nisos Mediterranean (Jan 28, 2023). The menu for Restaurant Week 2024 was out of control! First Course (Choose 1): nisos wedge, american wagyu carpaccio, bucatini cacio e pepe. Second Course (Choose 1): 6 oz filet center cut, chicken valdostano, 10 oz campo grande iberico skirt. Third Course (Choose 1): chocolate cake, banana cream pie. I got the bucatini cacio e pepe, which was the size of most entrees in restaurants serving pasta. The Doctor and Queen got the american wagyu carpaccio, which was so good! Again, look at the plate and what they were serving, very good deal. For entrees, we ordered so we could try all three. The 6 oz filet center cut was cooked to a perfect temperature and was tender and juicy. The chicken valdostano was also an excellent choice, again the chicken was juicy and definitely not dry. I will have to say that the 10 oz campo grande iberico skirt was wonderful. I would definitely get this again. That meat was tender and of course it was pork and of course that is my meat and of course I loved it. As usual for us, we still ordered off the regular menu. We got the grilled octopus as an appetizer (yum) and Giant Wagyu Meatball (double yum. veal, dry aged beef, pork, tomato, truffle ricotta). They are not joking when they say it is a giant meatball...that thing looked about the size of a newborn's head! The Doctor and Queen got mashed potatoes and broiled asparagus both of which were good. For dessert I got the chocolate cake, The Doctor and Queen got the banana cream pie. Can't comment on the banana cream pie because I don't eat anyone's banana desserts, just don't like that flavor cooked. But The Doctor and Queen said it was delish. The chocolate cake was very good, moist and the ice cream was a nice touch. Service was very good. Jose, Edwardo and Stephan were all amazing and attentive and fun to chat with. The one thing that did not change is the decor, it still has that cool Mexico feel to it, at least for me. This was definitely a great time out for dinner and we will be going back to hang out.
